Mission Statement
The purpose of PSW is to make Judaism meaningful, dynamic and vital for every member. Our goals are to:
- To further Jewish education for women as well as supporting a full program of Jewish education for children and young adults;
- To develop the personal growth of each of our members and promote friendship through programs that are religious, educational, cultural, civic, social and recreational;
- To promote the ideals of Conservative Judaism by stressing ethical and religious practices in daily living and the observance of Mitzvot;
- To advocate responsibility for and involvement in community, national and world affairs.
Membership in PS Women is automatically included with your flexible commitment payment to PSC.
Typical Activities and Events
- Operates Peninsula Sinai Women’s Orah Judaica Shop
- Holiday Boutiques for High Holy Days, Chanukah and Passover
- A reimagined Orah Gift Shop
- Support Kesher Religious School: through fundraising and Judaica shop sales
- Purim Mishloach Manot Project
- Social Action Project – Shalom Bayit Adopt-A-Family for Chanukah and WL Torah Fund to support JTS and Zeigler student scholarships
- Monthly Rosh Chodesh events with Rabbinic leadership
- Annual Miriam's Seder, summer brunch, Sukkot get together and sisterhood Shabbat
- Sponsorship of Kiddush for Men's Club Shabbat and Jewish Peninsula Golf Classic
