Description: Mussar is a Jewish spiritual practice focused on ethical self-improvement and personal growth, aiming to cultivate inner qualities called middot (soul traits) like patience, generosity, and humility. Originating in 10th-century Babylonia and formalized by Rabbi Israel Salanter in the 19th-century Mussar Movement, it involves practices such as meditation, journaling, and text study to help individuals align their actions and inner lives with the Jewish ideal of holiness.

Class: Revealing the Torah one Verse at a Time
Typical Times: Fridays 9:15 am - 10:15
Leader: Joel Gereboff
Description: A study of the weekly Torah portion, going line by line, verse by verse through the entire Torah (5 Books of Moses). We’ll explore the intricacies of the Torah by looking at the Hebrew language, themes, authorship, and more. This is a great way to learn our tradition in a deep and meaningful way. All texts available in Hebrew and English. Open to all. No prior experience required. Join us for a beautiful way of accessing our sacred tradition.
