At PSC, we connect with each B’Mitzvah student, finding unique meaning for this milestone in their Jewish journey. We celebrate our B'nei Mitzvah students with a warm, collaborative approach, bringing their families together in community.

The B’nei Mitzvah process includes study with Rabbi Cantor Doron Shapira in both individual and group settings and meetings with Education Director Yedida Kanfer.

B’nei Mitzvah families connect with each other through regular programs led by PSC clergy and attend Shabbat services together in preparation for the big day. We look forward to partnering with you and your family for this important life cycle moment!

We are excited to share in this joyous day. NO LATER THAN ONE MONTH PRIOR TO YOUR DATE, please answer these questions so we can make sure your day goes as planned.
Please note:

  • Many questions you have can be answered in our B Mitzvah Guide.
  • All items need to be in the shul by 2pm the Friday before the B Mitzvah. This includes all food, drink, flowers, candy, kippot, centerpieces, etc. Anything that is being delivered by a third party (Krembo, Izzy's, etc.) should be requested for delivery by NOON.
  • The livestream link to share with those watching remotely is: www.peninsulasinai.org/livestream (we turn off the password for a B Mitzvah service)
  • PSC will provide 2 challaot, wine and grape juice for kiddush.
  • The Honors Worksheet is located here for reference. However, the Rabbi will have a copy to work on with you.
