The 2013 North Peninsula Community-wide Yom HaShoah v'Hagevurah Commemoration will be held at PSC on Monday evening, April 8th. The program's theme is "From Victims to Victors" and will feature guest speaker Professor Eric Gattmann (who was a "Ritchie Boy"). Also included will be songs, prayers, readings and biographies of community survivors, and student work in response to their learning about the Holocaust. This year, the dessert reception is hosted by PS Women and the PSC Men's Club. The service is free and open to the public; doors open at 6pm and the "Reading of the Names" will commence at 6:30pm with the formal service beginning at 7pm. If you have names of relatives who perished during the Holocaust and you would like them read during the ceremony, please email Karen Stiller of the JCRC at kstiller@jcrc.org. If you have any questions or if you would like to get involved, please contact Judy Lichtman at LAJudy@comcast.net.
